Justin is a member of the Tony Award-winning BMI Musical Theater Workshop, in both the Librettist and Advanced Composer-Lyricist divisions. His work there has been featured in two Master Classes and several showcases, and he is a winner of the Workshop's Jerry Harrington Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement. He is also a BMI affiliated songwriter.

He is currently writing the libretto for an adaptation of Andrew Solomon's best-selling, award-winning nonfiction book FAR FROM THE TREE, which features music by Robert Maggio and lyrics by Kristin Maloney.  Other musicals currently in development (top right) include THE MASKED ZINFANDEL (with music by Peter Yarin), THE PASSION OF ED WOOD (with music by Rob Kendt).
